Female, 6 Years
Mocha is a 6-year-old Siamese mix who knows how to make herself at home. When she’s relaxed, you might find her snoozing in a lap or accepting gentle pets. When she wants to play, you’ll love watching her pounce after her favorite wand toys, zoom through her tunnel, and tackle her tiny toy caterpillar. That playful streak can occasionally get ahead of her manners so she’ll do well with an adopter who has enough experience with cats to notice when to preemptively redirect her energy. Give her the boundaries she craves, and the playtime she adores, and you’ll have a clever, affectionate companion who greets you at the door with little meows, rubs against your legs, and sleeps on your chest. Her foster sums her up simply: “She’s such a beautiful, sweet girl.”

Are very shy, fearful, or need help building confidence
Might nip or swat and/or can get frustrated quickly
Take daily medication, especially senior cats

After a distinguished term marked by naps, photo opportunities, and absolutely no official responsibilities, Mayor Jojo is preparing to leave office. Her successors, Shiru and Toncatsu, are ready to take over. Every year, the office of Mayor of Cat Town is bestowed to the highest bidder during our annual online auction. The winning cat gets their portrait displayed at our Adoption Center for a full year, along with the prestige of holding one of Oakland’s least demanding public offices. There are no meetings to attend. No ribbon cuttings. No policy briefs. In fact, there are no duties whatsoever.
